IDR is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Melbourne, FL. This role is in the finance industry, focusing on high-volume accounts payable processing within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Position Overview for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Manage the day-to-day accounts payable operations, including processing vendor invoices and payments.
- Prepare accounts payable aging reports and weekly cash requirements for multiple entities.
- Review invoice batches for accuracy and ensure proper general ledger and period posting.
- Initiate various payment methods, including checks, wires, and ACH payments, both domestic and international.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and maintain vendor records.
Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, and data analysis skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and adaptable to various software databases.
