IDR is seeking a AI Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Rochester, Minnesota. This role involves developing scalable AI-powered systems using modern data management techniques and cloud platforms. It offers an exciting chance to work on cutting-edge AI agent architectures in a fully remote environment.
Position Overview for the AI Engineer:
- Develop and implement AI systems with proficiency in Python, APIs, and async processing.
- Design and deploy autonomous or semiautonomous AI agents, including tool using agents, planners, and orchestrators.
- Work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) to facilitate agent communication and coordination.
- Manage large-scale data pipelines, modeling, and data governance using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate on deploying solutions in cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, or GCP, ensuring security and compliance.
Requirements for the AI Engineer:
- Advanced proficiency in Python with production experience in APIs, async processing, and testing.
- Experience designing and implementing autonomous or semiautonomous AI agents.
- Knowledge of agent communication, coordination frameworks, or protocol-driven AI architectures.
- Proficiency working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including cloud storage, compute, and managed services.

pay: 64-68/hr W2
