DATA SCIENTIST We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team on a long-term, on-site contract in Greenwood Village, supporting a leading telecom partner. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in SQL, data modeling, and forecasting to drive customer-centric campaigns focused on internet reliability and service performance. A proactive mindset is key, as you'll be instrumental in identifying and mitigating service issues before they impact customers—ensuring a smoother, more reliable experience. Must Have Skills:
6+ years of Data Science experience doing data manipulation and statistical modeling
Extensive experience with large data sets and the tools to obtain, transform, and store data on Big Data and streaming services
5+ years of Python experience - Expert-level skills and experience with Python (including relevant packages) in support of advanced analytics
5+ years of experience in SQL & Excel, demonstrating strong analytical proficiency in both
3+ years of experience leading the design, development, and deployment of machine learning and analytics models - regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks
Ability to present and communicate results and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences including executive leadership. Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and AWS
Tableau or equivalent data visualization / reporting / dashing boarding experience
R experience
Experience with other database and data store technologies, such as NoSQL, key-value, columnar, graph, and document
Knowledge of other relevant techniques such as text analysis and text mining
Background with cable and/ or telecommunications
Program, product, or project management experience delivering analytics results.
Day to day responsibilities:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the internet customer experience.
Requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, data exploration, model prototyping, model validation, and productionalization.
Leverage consultative experience delivering insights on large, structured and unstructured data to product owners and executives with strong communications skills (verbal, written PowerPoint).
Perform analyses using a range of techniques from basic (pivot table) to advanced (ML models).
Troubleshoot, debug, solve problems where the analytical approach or algorithm is not meeting performance standards.
