IDR is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is within the public sector, supporting state-level projects related to healthcare and eligibility systems. The position offers a chance to work on critical government initiatives in a fully remote setting.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines supporting diverse technology stacks (e.g., COBOL, Java, TypeScript).
Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations using Python, Groovy, JavaScript, C#, or Java.
Administer and support core DevOps tools including:
Version Control: Git / GitHub
Build & Deployment: Jenkins, Nexus (Artifactory)
Code Quality & Security: SonarQube
Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline build, test, and release processes.
Ensure version control best practices and governance for large, distributed codebases.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex build, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues across environments.
Support configuration management, environment setup, and release management activities in coordination with project teams.
Requirements:
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Groovy, JavaScript, C#, or Java
Strong experience with Git and distributed version control workflows
Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance across mixed technology environments (COBOL, Java, TypeScript)
Hands-on experience administering and integrating DevOps tools including:
GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus (Artifactory), and SonarQube
Must have prior experience supporting a state Integrated Eligibility (IE) project.
Knowledge of developer tooling and automation across the full software development life cycle
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills related to incident and release management
