IDR is seeking a Middleware SysAdministrator/DevOps Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing and supporting enterprise middleware environments built on JBoss EAP and Apache SOLR. The company operates within the technology sector, focusing on managing high-availability platforms, automation, and deployment pipelines to ensure operational excellence.
Position Overview for the Middleware SysAdministrator/DevOps Engineer:
- Support and manage enterprise middleware environments based on JBoss EAP and Apache SOLR across various stages including development, QA, staging, and production.
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot JBoss in both standalone and domain modes, including clustering and failover setups.
- Automate deployment processes, manage CI/CD workflows, and perform performance tuning for middleware components.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, application, and DevOps teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and high availability.
- Conduct operational troubleshooting, incident management, monitoring, and health checks to optimize system performance and reliability.
Requirements for the Middleware SysAdministrator/DevOps Engineer:
- Strong expertise with JBoss EAP 7/8.x administration.
- Strong experience with Apache SOLR.
- Hands-on experience with JBoss clustering and failover configurations.
- Experience configuring mod_jk and mod_cluster integrations.
- Proficiency in deploying applications using GUI and CLI tools, managing JVM, datasource, and server configurations.
