IDR is seeking a NoSQL Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role supports mission-critical NoSQL platforms leveraging AWS DynamoDB, DAX, Couchbase, and Amazon DocumentDB to ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence in a cloud environment.
Position Overview for the NoSQL Database Administrator:
- Own operational support and lifecycle management for DynamoDB and DAX environments supporting mission-critical applications.
- Partner with application teams to design and validate data models, access patterns, and partition strategies.
- Manage capacity planning, autoscaling, and cost optimization for NoSQL environments.
- Support and tune DAX clusters, including cache behavior, failover, and performance validation.
- Implement security controls, monitor environments using CloudWatch and Datadog, and support incident response efforts.
Requirements for the NoSQL Database Administrator:
- Senior-level experience supporting DynamoDB in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with DAX, including cache behavior and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of NoSQL data modeling, partitioning, and access pattern design.
- Experience operating NoSQL systems at scale with high availability and low latency.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and KMS.
