Packaging Technician I

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Technician I - 2nd Shift for a position with a Global Pharmaceutical Company located in Athens, GA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for performing duties associated with the labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines on the second shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM). The successful candidate will operate packaging equipment, ensure production targets are met, and adhere to cGMP documentation and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate packaging equipment such as labelers, pick and place machines, heat tunnels, vision systems, and forklifts
• Inspect products accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines
• Perform equipment change-overs, set-ups, and initial troubleshooting
• Ensure proper cGMP documentation is followed for completeness and adherence to procedures
• Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Communicate processing needs and progress to the shift line leader and/or Supervisor

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Detail-oriented with effective communication skills and quality conscious
• Equipment/Process troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Basic math and computer skills

Desired skills:

• Associates degree
• 5+ years of related experience
• Forklift certified
