Packaging Technician II

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Technician II for a position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Gainesville, GA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position is for a day shift: Monday-Wednesday from 5:45 AM to 4:30 PM, and Thursday from 5:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment setup, material handling, documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to operate packaging equipment (Printers, Coders, Labelers, Vision systems, Tray assemblers, Heat tunnels, etc.)
• Assist during the setup of packaging equipment
• Maintain all waste materials in the proper satellite storage bins
• Assist in completing all documentation required for products, materials, and components
• Accurately perform reconciliations within the batch records of products, materials, and components used in packaging
• Effectively and efficiently assist in troubleshooting packaging equipment
• Provide and report information on process deviations
• Train others as assigned
• Responsible for data entry which includes recording product packaging information, downtime, and standard production yields
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Demonstrate a commitment to the HSE Program and support safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Basic aptitude for math and computer skills
• Must be able to successfully complete hazardous waste management training program within six months of employment

Desired skills:

• 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
• Equipment troubleshooting knowledge and skills
• Ability to operate a reach truck forklift
