IDR is seeking a Patient Registrar to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Mateo, California. This onsite role is integral to providing exceptional patient service within a busy healthcare environment, ensuring smooth registration and administrative processes.
Position Overview for the Patient Registrar:
- Greet patients, manage the check-in process, and update patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments, and make reminder calls
- Answer and route phone calls, take messages, manage faxes, and maintain patient charts
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-payments, and assist with billing questions
- Serve as a communication hub between patients and medical staff, assisting with referrals
Requirements for the Patient Registrar:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
