IDR is seeking a
Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is part of a large-scale healthcare interoperability initiative focused on designing and implementing secure data exchange systems using HL7 v2 and FHIR standards. The company operates within the healthcare industry, emphasizing enterprise-level data integration projects with high visibility.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer:
- Support and develop enterprise healthcare interoperability systems leveraging HL7 v2 and FHIR standards
- Design, build, and optimize secure healthcare data exchange workflows
- Utilize Java microservices (Spring Boot) within a cloud-native AWS architecture
- Work with enterprise API and integration frameworks, including IBM DataPower
- Lead hands-on technical integration efforts for large-scale healthcare data systems
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- 15+ years overall experience in data integration or related fields
- Strong expertise in HL7 v2 and FHIR standards
- Proven experience designing or supporting large-scale healthcare data systems
- Hands-on experience building Java microservices, preferably with Spring Boot
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and enterprise integration tools such as IBM DataPower
