Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Platform Engineer - Virtualization SME:
 

• Lead the implementation of our client's Virtualization Infrastructure strategy to support full CI/CD pipeline agility for service consumption.

• Identify and implement ongoing opportunities for system and process improvements.

• Assist in maintaining development standards complying with enterprise standards, ensuring solutions are optimally designed, secure, well performing and integrated with other solutions.

• Deliver the objectives associated with problem management, such as customer communication and root cause analysis reports.

• Foster key vendor relationships and contract performance.

• Document internal SOPs, processes, and training to ensure our client's team members are successful in a DevOps environment.

• Lead the team with internal infrastructure projects which may require cross-departmental coordination to achieve goals.

Required Skills for Senior Platform Engineer - Virtualization SME:
 

• 6+ years related work experience with Nutanix/VMware or other virtualization platforms.

• 3+ years related work experience in DevOps utilizing SDLC agile methodology.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash,PowerShell, PowerCLI, JSON, KSH, YAML).

• Experience with orchestration tools (GitHub Actions,Terraform,Ansible).

• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Bluemix).

• Knowledge of container and platform services (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD Pipeline).

• Strong understanding of ITIL core principles for incident, request, change, and problem management.
