Position: TVM Analyst
Location/onsite: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote - in downtown Houston, TX
Work Hours: flexibility 8 "in office" hours (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm)
Reason for Need: expanding cyber maturity of the program, not just in TVM, but all programs and eliminate single point of failure
Must have skills: - Experience with TVM tools -- Rapid7 (preferred), Qualys (if not Rapid7, would be open to this), Nessus, etc. – all the tools do the same thing just in a different way – Rapid7 – productive quicker.
- 3+ years of vulnerability assessment experience, vulnerability scanning, reporting and remediation coordination
- Ability to report out on threat levels
- Reporting/Dashboarding experience using PowerBI and/or Tableau (ability to dump data into SQL to product dashboards)
Plus Skills:
- Relevant security certs a plus -- CISSP, GCIH, GEVA, or application-specific certs
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on administration of Rapid7 Insight VM, threat and vulnerability management system
- Coordination of remediation efforts with asset owners
- Researching the threat landscape to keep abreast of vulnerabilities specific to the organization’s IT environment.
- Acting as information security subject matter expert whilst participating in projects that are delivering or changing IT systems.
- Research security testing tools, techniques, and processes
- Analyze vulnerability scan results and engage with technology partners and business units in order to resolve identified vulnerabilities.
- Recommend approaches for addressing vulnerabilities include system patching, deployment of specialized controls, code or infrastructure changes, and changes in development processes
- Monitor team mailbox and ticketing system to ensure proper steps are taken for all identified vulnerabilities and support of the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC)
- Promote collaboration with our stakeholders and red team researchers to prioritize the remediation of vulnerabilities and close potential attack vectors
