Enscicon is hiring for A & B level winders with steam or gas generator experience for various locations for the Fall outage season.Responsibilities:
- Repair, replace, install and maintain all electrical and mechanical components associated with the generator stator and rotor windings including:
- Remove and install retaining rings with induction heating
- Remove, clean, and install field coils
- Rewedge the Generator Stator
- Repair the End Windings
- Stator bar replacement
- Clean, red-eye, and paint
- High Voltage Bushing and Standoff Bushing replacement
- Core Iron repair/replacement
- Installation of 2-piece clips
- Assist the Generator Specialist or Lead Winder with testing and inspection scopes
- 5+ years of generator winding experience in the power generation industry
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Experienced with various tying techniques, wedging, bar and coil installation; painting techniques, brazing, taping, insulating, and installing 2-piece clips
- Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50%
- Must be willing to work night shift, if required.
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test & wear a respirator
- Good visual and auditory acuity
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, takes direction well, and works well in a team environment
- Possesses a strong safety acuteness
- Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks.
- Competitive hourly pay rate, depending on experience.
- Per diem available for candidates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of the project location.
