WIRELESS ENGINEER (HYBRID) The Select Group is seeking a Mid-Level Wireless Engineer to support wireless network development initiatives focused on CPE and feature performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CPE hardware, performance testing, and wireless systems engineering. Please note: This is a hybrid role based in Englewood, CO, requiring onsite presence four days per week.
Wireless Engineer Must-Have Skills:
• 5+ years in wireless network engineering or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of wireless networking concepts (OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• Proficiency in wireless industry standards and protocols (IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Ethernet, Switching/Routing, etc.).
• Solid experience in wireless network design, architecture, and topology.
• Familiarity with wireless network devices and appliances.
• Proficiency in network design tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Wireless Engineeer Bonus Skills: • Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP).
• Vendor-specific wireless training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.).
Wireless Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Perform planning, forecasting, implementation, and resource identification for complex wireless network systems.
• Design, develop, and implement wireless network enhancements.
• Provide recommendations for network improvements and best practices.
• Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and design.
• Participate in wireless network planning and engineering efforts.
• Integrate communication architectures including hardware, software, signaling protocols, and topologies into complete network configurations.
• Evaluate new products, resolve network problems, and develop implementation methods (MOPs).
• Conduct hardware (CPE) and feature development, performance testing, and validation.
