IDR is seeking a Workday HCM Configuration Consultant to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This short-term, project-based role will focus on assessing and standardizing a mature Workday HCM environment in preparation for an upcoming Workday Financials implementation. The engagement is designed for an independent consultant who can quickly evaluate the current-state configuration and deliver actionable improvements with minimal ramp-up.
Position Overview for the Workday HCM Configuration Consultant:
- Assess and review the current Workday HCM configuration and architecture across key foundational areas.
- Analyze organizational structures, supervisory organizations, cost centers, and related naming conventions for consistency and standardization.
- Recommend and implement configuration updates aligned to future Workday Financials requirements.
- Identify historical configuration inconsistencies and execute remediation plans to strengthen governance and scalability.
- Document changes, recommendations, and best practices while partnering with IT leadership and business stakeholders.
Requirements for the Workday HCM Configuration Consultant:
- Extensive hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience, including supervisory organizations, cost centers, security, business processes, and organizational structures.
- Proven ability to assess, clean up, standardize, and optimize a mature Workday environment that has undergone multiple configuration changes over time.
- Experience independently delivering solutions after quickly evaluating an existing Workday HCM environment and identifying issues.
- Strong consulting mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and fast onboarding.
- Clear communication and documentation skills to translate business requirements into system solutions while preparing configuration updates for future-state financial processes.
